越前焼の荒々しさが息づく盃は、窯の位置や火の当たり具合によって一つひとつ異なる表情を見せます。同じ土を用いながらも、一つ一つ焼き上がりの違いを楽しめるのが陶器ならではの魅力です。日本酒はもちろん、お好みの飲み物を味わう際に、手仕事の温もりと個性を感じられる逸品です。デミカップとしても活用できそうです。

伊羅保とは、李朝時代の高麗茶碗の一種のこと。手触りがザラついた感触で、釉調がイボイボ・イライラした様子から、「伊羅保」と名付けられたという説もあります。

The roughness of Echizen Ware comes alive in each of these sake cups, each of which has a different appearance depending on the position of the kiln and the degree to which it is exposed to fire. The charm of pottery that in finished in kiln is that you can enjoy the differences in the firing process of each piece, even though they are made of the same clay. This is a gem that allows you to feel the warmth and individuality of handcraftsmanship when you savor your favorite beverage, not to mention sake. It may also be used as a demi-cup.

Irabo is a type of Korai tea bowl from the Yi Dynasty of Korea. Some say that it was named “Irabo” because of its rough feel to the touch and the warty, irritated ("iraira" in Japanese) appearance of the glaze.

日本海に面した北陸地方、福井県丹生郡（にゅうぐん）越前町発祥の磁器。六古窯の一つとして、約850年の歴史を持ち、山と海のある健やかな大自然の中で受け継がれています。北陸の厳しい自然に育まれる土々しさが現れるのが越前焼の魅力の一つ。

シンプルで素朴な風合いの陶器は、耐久性があり、また使い込む毎に変化する風合いを楽しむことができます。窯の中で焼き上げる際、、炎や灰の作用により焼き色や景色（けしき）が異なり、一つとして同じモノが出来上がらないのが陶器の特徴。それぞれに違うという個性があり、唯一無二の美が秘められています。

⬜︎Echizen Ware

Porcelain originates from Echizen-cho, Nyu-gun, Fukui Prefecture, in the Hokuriku region facing the Sea of Japan. As one of the six oldest kilns, it has a history of about 850 years and has been handed down in the midst of the healthy nature with mountains and the sea. One of the charms of Echizen Ware is that the earthiness nurtured by the harsh nature of Hokuriku appears.

The simple and rustic texture of the pottery is durable and also allows the wearer to enjoy the changing texture with each use. During the firing process in the kiln, the color and appearance of the pottery varies due to the effects of the flames and ashes, and no two pieces are alike. Each piece is unique and has its own personality, and holds a unique beauty.
