1. The Store

侘月は日本の工芸品を取り扱うライフスタイルストアです。工芸品とは、その土地に暮らす人々が、その土地に根ざした材料を使用して美しくデザインされ、その土地に調和する方法で生産されてきた、生活に根ざした伝統的な実用品です。工芸品の在るライフスタイルの提案を通して、日常生活が自然体で持続的に美しいものになることを目指しています。

Wabitsuki is the lifestyle store dealing in Kogei in Japan. Kogei is traditional Japanese Craft for practical use, and has been creating by people who live local, beautifully designed with its local materials,and making by using traditional techniques that creates harmony with its region. Through proposing the lifestyle with Kogei, we are attempting to make each life to be naturally the way it is, and sustainably beautiful.

2. The Portrait

侘月は2024年に誕生しました。店主の米田です。20代の頃に、カナダ（1年）とアートの島・直島（7年）での生活を通じて、東洋と西洋の芸術・文化的相違の興味深さと、それらの調和が創り出す美を発見しました。そして、そのような調和の美を生み出す要素の一つとして「日本の工芸品」が当てはまると感じたのでした。これらのアイデアが侘月設立の背景にあります。現在、関西地方を起点としながら、日本各地の工芸品産地へ足を運び侘月の活動を行っています。

Wabitsuki was founded by Yoneda in 2024. In his 20s, he had lived 1 year in Canada and 7 years in art island Naoshima. Through that time, he found the curiosity of cultural differences between East and West, and experienced the beauty that is created by the harmony of those. Meantime, he also found that "Japanese Kogei" is one of the part of the beauty of harmony. These ideas have become the backbone of the establishment of Wabitsuki. Wabitsuki is currently based in Kansai area, visiting local place where Kogei creates throughout Japan quite often.
