Guide
A small kotatsukuchi jar with a beautiful white kohiki finish. The entire piece is covered in soft white using the “kohiki” technique, which is a technique of applying white decorative clay to the base. It is small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand, and the functionality of the kataguchi-type is appealing. It can be used not only as a drinking vessel for pouring sake, but also as a pitcher, flower vase, etc., in any number of ways. It has a simple and elegant appearance that harmonizes with both Japanese and Western styles.

⬜︎Echizen Ware
Porcelain originates from Echizen-cho, Nyu-gun, Fukui Prefecture, in the Hokuriku region facing the Sea of Japan. As one of the six oldest kilns, it has a history of about 850 years and has been handed down in the midst of the healthy nature with mountains and the sea. One of the charms of Echizen Ware is that the earthiness nurtured by the harsh nature of Hokuriku appears.
The simple and rustic texture of the pottery is durable and also allows the wearer to enjoy the changing texture with each use. During the firing process in the kiln, the color and appearance of the pottery varies due to the effects of the flames and ashes, and no two pieces are alike. Each piece is unique and has its own personality, and holds a unique beauty.
