しっかりと焼き締められた越前焼の小ぶりな豆皿です。緑がかった自然釉（窯の中で焼き上げる際、器に降りかかった薪の灰が高温で溶け自然にガラス状になったもの）がかかった箇所は薪窯の偶然と必然を映し出し、深みのある光沢をまとっています。かからなかった箇所は土そのものの質感を活きたあたたかみのある自然な佇まいを生み出しています。ひとくちの珍味やお漬物に、小鉢や薬味皿としてはもちろん、箸置き代わりにも。使い込むほどに風合いが増し、日々の食卓に静かに寄り添う器です。食卓に、手仕事の余韻を。

Guide

This is a small Echizen Ware Small Dish that has been tightly fired. The greenish natural glaze (the ashes from the wood that fell on the vessels during firing in the kiln melt at high temperatures and naturally become glassy) reflects the coincidence and inevitability of the wood-fired kiln and gives the vessels a deep glossy appearance. The areas that have not been covered with the ash have a warm, natural appearance that brings out the texture of the clay itself. It can be used as a small bowl or condiment dish for a small amount of delicacies or pickles, or even as a chopstick rest. The more you use it, the more the texture will improve, making it a quiet companion for your daily dining table. Bring a touch of handcraftsmanship to your dining table.

日本海に面した北陸地方、福井県丹生郡（にゅうぐん）越前町発祥の磁器。六古窯の一つとして、約850年の歴史を持ち、山と海のある健やかな大自然の中で受け継がれています。北陸の厳しい自然に育まれる土々しさが現れるのが越前焼の魅力の一つ。

シンプルで素朴な風合いの陶器は、耐久性があり、また使い込む毎に変化する風合いを楽しむことができます。窯の中で焼き上げる際、、炎や灰の作用により焼き色や景色（けしき）が異なり、一つとして同じモノが出来上がらないのが陶器の特徴。それぞれに違うという個性があり、唯一無二の美が秘められています。

⬜︎Echizen Ware

Porcelain originates from Echizen-cho, Nyu-gun, Fukui Prefecture, in the Hokuriku region facing the Sea of Japan. As one of the six oldest kilns, it has a history of about 850 years and has been handed down in the midst of the healthy nature with mountains and the sea. One of the charms of Echizen Ware is that the earthiness nurtured by the harsh nature of Hokuriku appears.

The simple and rustic texture of the pottery is durable and also allows the wearer to enjoy the changing texture with each use. During the firing process in the kiln, the color and appearance of the pottery varies due to the effects of the flames and ashes, and no two pieces are alike. Each piece is unique and has its own personality, and holds a unique beauty.
